Functional Rehabilitation incorporates clinical lifestyle recommendations and functional exercise techniques to help patients regain normal function of their spine and limbs in attempt to return to their active daily lifestyles. Therapy begins by identifying faulty patterns of movement via a functional movement assessment. The idea behind this is to find the dysfunction that caused the initial pain and take the proper steps to prevent it from returning. Dysfunction can be due to decreased range of motion, weakness, instability, etc.
